Supporting your pathway to MRT practice in Canada

The NEBP Peer Mentorship program component connects Internationally Educated MRTs (IEMRTs) with experienced MRTs practicing in Canada through one-to-one peer relationships that foster guidance, support, and connection.

Peer Mentorship program overview

The Peer Mentorship program component as part of CAMRT’s National Experiential Bridging Program (NEBP) connects experienced MRTs with internationally educated MRTs (IEMRTs) to provide guidance grounded in Canadian clinical practice and workplace expectations. Through shared learning and professional connection, the program supports IEMRTs in navigating certification, workplace culture, and employment pathways, while fostering a deeper understanding of Canadian MRT practice and workforce integration. It also contributes to the professional growth of both mentors and mentees.

The mentorship program includes two peer-to-peer streams. IEMRT Mentees may participate in one or both, depending on their individual goals.

Canadian Practice Readiness

This stream focuses on navigating the certification process and adapting to Canadian MRT practice through shared peer experience.

Career Development

This stream focuses on exploring scope of practice, employment strategies, and ongoing professional development within Canadian healthcare system.
